Mashin’ Pit

Mashin’ Pit is DJ Bahler’s third mashup album, and, as the name implies, it is a tribute to the synthpop band Passion Pit. Each mashup is either centered around a song by Passion Pit or one of their side projects such as Shuttle, Bo-Flex, or Aislyn. Getting the “green light” from Passion Pit’s own synth player Ayad, DJ Bahler began work on this album shortly after finishing up Boy Versus Goy. Aside from Passion Pit, the album also includes samples from many different artists including the likes of Major Lazer, Yelle, Coldplay, Kanye West, The Bloody Beetroots, Lady Gaga, Dizzee Rascal, Matt & Kim, Empire of the Sun, Muse, and Beyonce.
