Biography

DJ Bahler is a mashup artist from Los Angeles who is currently mashing out of his apartment at the University of California San Diego. His sampling choice, often compared to that of the Hood Internet and E-603, heavily draws from “indie bands” such as Yeasayer, Yelle, Starfucker, Death Cab for Cutie, and Anavan. Future plans for DJ Bahler include live performances and delving into the world of traditional remixing. When he isn’t cutting either tracks or classes, DJ Bahler takes time to enjoy the finer things in life like watching repeats of Arrested of Development, playing hacky sacky and racquetball, engaging in intense Super Smash Bros. battles with his peers, drowning in Old Spice, and listening to bands so underground they hang out with Diglet. As a Biology major, DJ Bahler hopes to one day swap his “J” for an “R” and go into medicine, but he most likely will never stop making mashups, because that would be lame.
