Girl Talk

Girl Talk aka Gregg Gillis is one of the best known mashup artists in the world, and is often credited with popularizing the genre. He has released four albums on the Illegal Art label as well as a few vinyl releases. He started making music at Case Western Reserve University while studying biomedical engineering. He then worked as an engineer but quit in 2007 to pursue his music career full time.

• Top Five Combinations on Girl Talk’s All Day

  I’d have to say that the two and a half years it took Girl Talk to release his newest album was a completely reasonable time period. All Day is amazing album, and if you haven’t already downloaded it, then I don’t know what’s wrong with you, because it’s free (everything here is!). Now that’s it out, I’ve decided to wade through the hundreds of samples and pick my top five combinations in the entire album. The only rule is no more than one combination per track (that’s where the runners-up come in). This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Expect discrepancies. Here we go:
