Born in Cologne, Germany, with American roots, the artist has been publishing mashups, remixes and the corresponding video clips since September 2008. “Germany’s Most Clicked Mashup Artist” gets inspired by playing with musical identity and by connecting diverse genres, decades and ideas.
The idea behind Mashup-Germany is to present German artists to an international audience via mashups, thereby breaking national and communicative boundaries between musicians and music fans. The Mashupper likes to take German songs and to combine them with international hits in order to globally promote oftentimes underestimated German artists. Since he produced the mashup „Nicke mit dem BEAT“, Deichkind for example are now known to many young people in the U.S.
