Biography

My name is Frans Peter Bull Enger better known as Norwegian Recycling. I started experimenting with mash-ups in 2006 after I stumbled upon Party Bens “Boulevard of Broken Songs”, which was the first mashup that really blew me away. Since then I have steadily released mash-ups that have been compiled in 3 albums: “So Far” (2007), “Appetite For Deconstruction” (2008) and “The Collage Dropout” (2010). In 2008 I also released a concept-album where I sampled melodies from Donkey Kong Country 1,2 and 3, and mashed them with hip-hop and RnB samples. My style of mashing has evolved through the years, and currently I am intrigued by the possibility to write lyrics and express articulated views and opinions by using the words and voices of other artists. I also emphasize the visual aspect by releasing videos to accompany my tracks. I have found myself been featured in several different newspapers, blogs, radio-stations and even national TV. My videos have been viewed over 8 million times and I am forever grateful for all the love and support that I have received from all over the world!

  • The Ten Best Video Game Mashups

    August 3, 2010

Though many of us play video games, we often overlook their wonderful soundtracks. A few mashup artists have paid tribute to the soundtracks of our childhood by using songs from video games as instrumentals in their mashups. Whether the final product is silly 8-bit fun or an emotional swooping soundscape, these mashups are sure to bring back some good memories.More
