Super Mash Bros

Mash-Up Artists, DJ’s, Computer Musicians, Video Artists, call them what you will. They don’t care as long as it makes you want to party that much harder. Nicolas Fenmore, Dick Fink and Ethan Dawes collectively known as Super Mash Bros., grew up in Los Angeles. Somehow, the trio simultaneously manages to be full time college students as well as full time touring artists.

It’s the story of three kids with a passion for music and media. Dick: the software, tech, computer geek, semi-pro snowboarding, Pabst Blue-Ribbon drinking bro. Nick: the classically trained musician, stock trading, Johnny Walker Blue drinking bro. Along with new addition, Ethan Dawes: The digital pyrotechnician who incorporates viral content, projections, and the web world into their set. The three have established a strong friendship and musical synergy that gives way to their ass shaking, foot stomping mixtapes and performances. [via last.fm]

  All About The Scrillions is an awesome follow up album for Super Mash Bros. Once again, the track titles are hilarious and each song is super-danceable mixing many genres. Check this one out regardless of your opinion of their previous album. It’s great.

  Fuck Bitches. Get Euros. is a great mashup album to have at a party. Super Mash Bros. themselves say they mash in “ways scientifically proven to make you shake your ass” and that is nothing but the truth. Mashing old classics with current pop and techno, every song really makes you smile at the genius behind them.

• PED Fest Recap

  The first annual PED (Philadelphia Electronic and Dance) Festival took place at the Theater of the Living Arts in Philadelphia last Thursday, on the twelfth. As far as we know, it was going to be the biggest mainstream mashup concert the east coast has ever seen. With a lineup of 5 & A Dime, E-603, Milkman (taken off the lineup last minute), and Super Mash Bros, mashup fans were sure to get their fix. And we did.
