White Noise

White Noise, aka Mike McCourt, is a 19-year-old mash-up artist from Huntington, Long Island, NY. He is currently enrolled as a student at Penn State University, where he studies political science. He has been mixing music since his junior year in high school. White Noise mashes in both the traditional one-on-one and Girl-Talk-megamix styles. He samples from all genres, and makes mixes for all moods. He released his debut albums, “Mashed Potatoes” and “Gravy,” in 2008. In August 2009, his third mash-up album, “Kid Tested, Mother Approved,” was released. To date, that album has been downloaded over 12,000 times. In January 2010, a fourth album, “Spoiler Alert!” was released. The album was featured on websites such as BroBible, Good Music All Day, Pwelbs, What The Mashup, and Hold My Coat. His fifth album, “Disregard Females. Acquire Currency.” was released in May 2010, and has already received praise from music blogs and been downloaded over 3,000 times.
